Hello everyone, we have some fantastic news to share with you from the Trustees!
Caroline Douglas has been working incredibly hard on a funding grant since the summer holidays to position the charity to enable the pool to reopen.
Following a meeting with “Basingstoke Voluntary Action”, an initial application to Basingstoke & Deane Council, a phone interview, a 2-hour webinar, then over 3,500 carefully crafted and agonised over words, plus 17 supporting evidence attachments including 2 new letters of support, plus many hours of online research we are delighted to tell you that so far it has been worth it!
Our application for the “Pride In Place” grant funding has been approved by Basingstoke & Deane Council as part of the Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund. We have been awarded £24,965!
We are continuing with further applications for grant funding so hoping more good news will be shared in the new year.
